Havenwoods NID Annual Meeting

Havenwoods Neighborhood Improvement District (NID) #9 held its first annual meeting on February 21st at Havenwoods State Forest. The NID is a collaboration of property owners who pay an additional tax to fund local property and quality-of-life improvements within the NID boundaries: N. 55th Place west to N. 76th Street and W. Silver Spring Drive north to W. Kaul Avenue. Attendees at the meeting enjoyed a reception followed by a presentation on activities of the NID's first year, including a July 4th celebration, summer youth jobs program, and safety improvements for homes. The presentation also included a preview of plans for 2019, followed by the election of this year's board of directors.
