Did you hear the news? Dakonte Products Group Inc., has relocated several product lines from Sussex to the CNI area, bringing with it 12 jobs! Wanting to be closer to the city and their workforce, Dakonte Products officially relocated to their new location at 6615 W. Mill Rd. this spring. Dakonte Products manufactures vinyl restaurant menu covers and job jackets, envelopes and shop ticket holders for retail and wholesale customers across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
The Milwaukee Bucks Foundation recently announced that it is giving a total of $1 million to 15 Milwaukee-based nonprofit organizations, including the Silver Spring Neighborhood Center! Thanks to a partnership between the Milwaukee Bucks and the City of Milwaukee, MPS students are receiving stipends to learn skills for possible careers in trades. These trade classes are part of an agreement between the City and the Milwaukee Bucks to each contribute $370,000 for workforce training as part of the arena-development deal.
