Best Babies Zone (BBZ) Westlawn is working to eliminate racial disparities in infant mortality. BBZ is about babies and families. We aim to foster healthy communities where everyone can grow and thrive.​
 
Best Babies Zone works to ensure that babies born in Milwaukee’s Westlawn Gardens, Silver Spring and surrounding communities survive and thrive with the help of their engaged and healthy village.
 
BBZ is led locally by a team of resident health and wellness ambassadors working to change a system that causes babies, moms and families to have more difficulty with pregnancy than in other areas of Milwaukee and the country.  BBZ ambassadors connect families to resources for child and family health, hold events to build a connected and supportive community, and advocate for systemic changes to improve healthy birth outcomes.
