Westlawn Choice Neighborhood is part of the national Best Babies Zone Initiative, a network of nine neighborhoods across the country working to improve healthy birth outcomes and reduce racial disparities in infant mortality. Supported by a national team of advisors through the University of California-Berkeley, each neighborhood is developing its own local strategy to ensure every baby survives and thrives. Learn more about the BBZ network and the other zones.
The African American Breastfeeding Network "Healing Waters" will support families who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy at any stage, or death of a baby, up to 12 months of age. For more information, visit the AABN website.
