Westlawn Resident Council Wins National Award

The Westlawn Resident Council was named the Resident Council of the Year at the annual conference of the National Alliance of Resident Services in Affordable and Assisted Housing (NAR-SAAH) in Charlotte, NC on September 20. The award was given in recognition of the council’s participation in Westlawn Gardens achieving the HUD Secretary’s Opportunity & Empowerment National Planning Award this year from the American Planning Association and the many ways the council has worked to keep the Westlawn community engaged and connected during the redevelopment of the neighborhood. Congratulations!
