Save the Date The Engine: A Conference for Makers and Manufacturers
From October 3 through October 6, Havenwoods Economic Development Corporation, with support from Newaukee, will present “The Engine: A Conference for Makers and Manufacturers” in Milwaukee’s Havenwoods neighborhood. The conference connects residents, employees and employers of the neighborhood to one another, to the community’s assets and to the maker-to-manufacturer movement. The goal is to share best practices and innovative approaches to attracting talent to local companies. Conference programs include “A New Workforce: How Race, Ethnicity and the Economy Intersect” on Oct. 4; a job fair, also on Oct. 4; and “The Sample: Made in Havenwoods” on Oct. 6.
