YouthBuild Trains Future Workforce with Westlawn Neighborhood Construction
The redevelopment of Westlawn Gardens is creating new opportunities for the youth in our communities to gain workforce skills and job training.
One great example is the YouthBuild construction training crew managed by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM). Recently, nine young adults were able to participate in the installation of the underground stormwater detention system in the Westlawn Gardens neighborhood, working hand-in-hand with seasoned construction teams.
